Hey there! My name’s Nick! I’m a nerd about a lot of things. I love math, board games, music, and all things nerdy! I am currently a student at Gettysburg College majoring in physics. I make up exactly one half of Nerd Herd’s tuba players (there seems to be a disproportionate amount of tuba nerds) and I sing in the choir. I’m happy to help with any board game-related shenanigans!
Hi! I’m Seth. I’m surprised you’re reading these, but I appreciate your interest! I’m an affable nerd with hidden plans for board-game domination, and I hope you are too. I’m a member of the class of 2020 at Gettysburg College, where I study Physics, Philosophy, and Arabic. (I am also a tubist, as in: ‘that guy who can play the really big brass instrument.’) My friends know me better as the rule book geek, and I’m happy to help you with any board-game questions or recommendations for your family.
Carley is a college student who is nerdy about movies, music, and TV shows. Her other nerdy habits are theatre, singing, reading, and baking. She is an INFP and a Ravenclaw. Her dream in life is to perform at the Sydney Opera House.
Cail above all else is a Nintendo nerd. In his free time, he collects and plays retro games. His favorite among these are the original Paper Mario games. Cail attends Rochester Institute of Technology for game design and development. His goal is to create lovable games for all ages and eventually land one on a Nintendo console. Cail's favorite game at Nerd Herd is Boss Monster; he also holds the high score for Dig Dug on the arcade machine. Beat his score to win a high five and a rematch. You should also be cautioned when challenging him to Mario Kart.
Abby Gray is a student at Albright College. Her studies include Communications and English. Some hobbies she enjoys are theatre, dance, art, music, social media, and yoga. One of her favorite games is the card game, Sleeping Queens. She also enjoys Harry Potter and Star Wars. Nerd Herd has been one of the most exciting and positive experiences of her life.
If you’re looking for someone to talk your ear off about character development in books/movies, an overwhelming amount of Nintendo games, or her latest escapades in Dungeons and Dragons, look no further than Erin. With a fancy for fantasy, Erin is a storyteller at heart and is always willing to introduce others to her favorite role-play and “plot-heavy” games. Just don’t be surprised when the game she recommends involves dragons or an evil wizard terrorizing the kingdom!
Hi, I am Grayson Wallace. I'm a student at Gettysburg Area Middle School. I play the trumpet and am in the chorus. My favorite games at Nerd Herd are Dice Forge and Betrayal at House on the Hill. I also enjoy watching You Tube and playing video games.
Hiya! I’m Emma. I am currently a senior at Gettysburg Area High School, and I am a nerd about basically everything. Music, rocks, and just about anything in between. I also play field hockey (yes, athletes can be nerds too!) and am involved in marching band and speech and debate! I also hope to one day become fluent in American Sign Language.
Hi! I’m Mara, the newest member of the Herd. I moved here to Gettysburg to attend Gettysburg College (go Bullets!), but I’ve spent the past two years in Oxford, England - definitely one of the nerdiest cities I’ve ever visited. They even have a board game cafe!
Hello! I’m Jesse and I am currently a senior at Gettysburg Area High School. I’m planning on majoring in history and taking a minor in political science, yet I play my fair share of Dungeons and Dragons, and indulge far too often in a variety of video games...when I am not reading or watching some classic film. I aspire to teach, but for now I can settle for a pleasant game of Ticket to Ride or Fluxx.
Greetings! I’m Dan, one of the three new nerds here. I am a senior at Gettysburg High School and the chess nerd of the group. Of course, chess isn’t my only specialty. I’m primarily a game nerd, both tabletop and digital, and spend much of my time developing both kinds. I have a competitive spirit in both the games I play and the clubs I’m in (speech and debate, chess, and fencing) and am always eager to meet a challenge.
Hello. I am Sam. I am a nerd about a lot of things. I love world languages and cultures, maps, board and video games, and inorganic chemistry. My favorite games are Ticket to Ride, Dungeons & Dragons, and Catan. I am a high school student who is dual enrolled in HACC and majoring in computer science. I aspire to become fluent in Spanish, Japanese, and Russian. Plus I really like cats.
